Reviews of Don’t Look Up, would have fit perfectly into the movie!
The movie, Don’t Look Up, is the best movie I have seen in years. It is a masterpiece. Thank you to Medium members for advising me to watch it, because I saw its availability on Netflix but figured it was just another typical idiotic apocalypse movie with some dumb ass zombies or some shit.
I watched it and was impressed. Then I watched it again and realized it was brilliant.
But then……. I decided to read what others thought about it, including the reviews.
Holy, mother fucking shit! The reviews were absolutely AMAZING! I laughed harder at the negative reviews than I did watching the movie!
The movie clearly went so far over peoples comprehension of what is happening, that a common derogatory word used was — smug. Fucking wow!
The most entertaining review I read was from David Fear at Rolling Stone magazine. He said:
“As for DiCaprio and Lawrence, they both take turns channeling the voice of the movie’s creator, yelling and bellowing and losing their cool repeatedly over the fact that No. One. Seems. To. Get. It! We keep blowing whatever little chances we have to fix this. It’s a sentiment familiar to a lot of us, so much so that, at a certain point, you want to throttle this movie back and match it decibel for decibel: No. Need. To. Keep. Screaming. This. In. Our. Faces!”
And it only reminded me of the scene in the movie where the Nasa director guy says something like, “no math”, to Leonardo’s character just before he goes on TV to explain the crisis. And of course Leonardo’s character can only respond, “But it’s ALL math!”!
Clearly, There. Is. A. Need. To. Keep. Screaming. This. In. Peoples. Faces. !!!!
If only the reviews of this movie could have been incorporated into the movie!
I encourage all of you to check the negative reviews out. They are hilarious. Some serious ostrich head in the sand shit. They would have fit absolutely perfectly into the movie itself!
And really, peace to all of you haters and hopers. This shit is gonna get ugly, it probably couldn’t have been any other way, and it really isn’t anybody’s fault. Good luck!
